Most people never create a plan.
In a couple of hours (super fast) you’ll have a more clear plan than 98% of people out there, about something you’ll passionate about. Your problem list is the secret to massive success (i.e. content ideas anytime you need, how to relate to your audience, even product ideas etc).
With a written down visual plan (WAY better than a long doc you’ll never use) you’ll start to see after 2 hours how this online thing is NOT a distant dream, but ANYONE can create it. It’s JUST a PLAN and executing the plan is following and learning a few skill. ANYONE can do, ANY age.
Ok - ready for this!
Usually, in marketing, they’ll talk about Your Unique Avatar, Your Origin Story, Messaging is everything… all of this is gold. But later.
(I.e .Don’t overthink it - we are brainstorming and creating FAST and IMPERFECT)
For now - I wanted to create something SUPER SIMPLE - 2 THINGS:
3 Meaningful Interests = Your Brand, Uniqueness and Personality/Vulnerability = Stand Out on YouTube
Problems = Content Ideas
This super simple approach will give you 3 passion interests which will be your unique brand and personality, and you’ll build a BIG list of problems (lived experiences, and researched ones - books online etc) which will be the foundation for your content, freebies and products.

It’s use a system I learned from Dan Koe (www.thedankoe.com):
He gave me a huge breakthrough: Niche your products, not your content and personality.
A really easy way to become completely unique is to choose 3 interests you LOVE (passion based stuff) and then make sure when you create content you give your VULNERABILITY, PERSONALITY and AUTHENTICITY.
Multiple Interests + Personality/Vulnerbility + Your Personality = YOUR BRAND & UNIQUENESS (in simple terms)
This will help you stand out.
If you just do one thing and niche down early… taking my Nephew… if he just did biking videos on how to fix brakes and simple stuff on the bike:
He’s at risk of:
Not being unique
Others copying or doing exactly the same
AI risk of doing ‘how to’s faster and better over time.
Instead, in his videos on YouTube he overlaps various topics all about biking, gear reviews, maintenance, even gym stuff, entertainment, comedy and puts his personality with his Dad boldly on the videos - and he’s ROCKING it (from 0 to flying). Check him out!
Key Point: When it comes to your money making interest, the ‘forever’ winners are things that help your ‘customers’ with health, wealth and relationships.
This could be anything. For me: It’s solopreneur freedom, mindset and productivity/focus.
Passion is important. Without this, you’ll never last the long haul as an entrepreneur i.e. years. The energy will burn out and you’ll stop enjoying it and then stuck again wishing you were doing something you are passionate about.
Key point - to get momentum - focus your social media and energy primarily i.e. 50/60% on the one that makes you money, or the one that you think will build a strong audience that is easy is sell to.
THIS interest will be your primary one. The one that becomes the foundation of your online side hustle, social media CONTENT and your first Product.
When it comes to niching Dan advises:
Don’t niche your content to much - focus on brand and personality
DO niche when you want to sell the solution to one burning product
Another hard lesson I’ve learned, cost me years…
Here’s something that took me 5 years to finally realize (or listen to):
MAKE IT TANGIABLE. What thing will bring tangible results for your audience?
A mentor once said - if it’s not tangible to measure, don’t bother, you’ll have a rough time selling and growing at the start.
For biking - bike maintenance. Perfect! Very easy to measure - $$$ saved, time to fix etc
For me for instance, I spent years on the thing I LOVE - the power of mindset (this has been my journey for 25+ years) and how this has transformed my life and happiness dramatically, but it’s a hard one to sell up front. It’s not tangible. Like confidence, it’s hard to measure.
And I struggled.
Instead I’ll start tangible and add ‘Strong Mind’ into every tangible product I offer.
What’s my 3 passions?
SoloPreneur - it beings people wealth (and freedom from shitty 9-5s) - measured with $$$$ and subscribers
Productivity and Focus - measured with time and results
Strong Mind and Body - measured with body stats, and I have ways to measure confidence and momentum.
I’m currently focusing now on Solopreneur - my new brand Momentum11 is all about SoloPrevi- measured in results of setting up your online biz in X days, Productivity - measured in hours saved of time etc.
Later this means a TON easier for you to sell.
This unique combination of interests that have built-in passion and your energy behind them will become your powerful BRAND and ENERGY and UNIQUENESS online… you will be able to use all of them on social media which will make you stand out above others just doing one thing that is the same as everyone else.
You’ll have your own passionate stories and experiences.
You’ll be able to teach and advise without needing to ‘fake it’.
Time to build out section 1 of your Blueprint…
Let’s now do some prep that is going to make your Social Media and Products really easy and powerful.
Don’t overthink this - my best approach is do a mindmap on paper (or I have a template on your Miro which makes it super easy) - Treat yourself to a comfort environment, no distractions, headphones on(away from your 9-5 env) - nice coffee shop or bar and G&T 🙂:
Spend 30 mins brainstorming ALL of your passion/meaningful interests than pop up - add them to the mindmap - see my example below (google it if you’re not sure)
Highlight your top few - ideally 3.
Add sub interests - i.e. break down your thing into more details/interests you’re interested in.
Important Questions… think which of these:
Light you up - Feel awesome (or LOVE the challenge) - feel DRIVE
Which have you some good experience - i.e. lived and breathed
NOW - important - if you were a customer - which of these for the CUSTOMER:
Could make them money (this may be a great thing for your #1 interest for your biz - i.e. makes your product EASY to SELL, if it will make money for others - i.e. for me - it’s ENTREPRENEUR
Gives your customer a transformation i.e. confidence, emotion, feeling - i.e. for me it’s Fitness and Self Development
Gives your customer fast results and gets them unstuck from current groundhog life - i.e. for me - could be the PRODUCTIVITY/DISTRACTION/FOCUS
Which have many PROBLEMS you know about and can help with?
Which would make great content on YouTube?
From your fast mindmap - just choose your top 3!
Now pick 1 as your PRIORITY (based on the important questions in the last section).
Ideally: 1 will make you or others MONEY (easy to sell), 1 that excites you, 1 that you would like to learn more about (Credit: Dan Koe - see 2 hour writer for more in depth)
For me, it’s ENTREPRENEUR right now as it will be the easiest to help people escape unhappy 9-5s make money (and believe in themselves, build confidence, time and financial freedom etc).
The other 2 interests will be my overall brand and personality in my content
Don’t worry, you can change these later!
Enter them into the header row of your blueprint in Section 1:
Really Important! Finally - in the notecard - spend 30 mins taking some time (important) to dig into WHY this passion is important to you. Ask 2 or 3 whys and go deep until you get to a bit more meaning, or a childhood, deeper reason.
If you struggle and can’t do this, or you find it’s a shallow interest (i.e. vain, someone else’s goal, someone told you should be/do it, trying to impress your partner or others) - time to selfish here!
This is the perfect qualifier - if you chase a dream/passion that is not yours, or shallow you’ll never last, the business will never work. Some people chase a passion for years that was B.S. in the first place, and after a year, you’ll fall flat, won’t want to make content, won’t care about your products, your audience will see through it. Dude… everything will fail - I’ve seen it a ton (one lady charging 20k masterminds for something she kinda hated just for the money - and it all fell apart and she fell into depression of feeling so trapped in the money)
Create a problem list of the things you have solved, or lived and breathed. I.e. your experiences in each interest, the things you have learned, mastered, overcame, or have extensive knowledge. Add stickynotes to describe each, add STORIES, MEMORIES etc. Add stick note ideas of systems or processes you may have sketched or created.
Customer and Researched Problems - Spend time researching:
Fill in as many problems as you can think of from articles, blogs
YouTube popular problems - find PROBLEMS in comments that are high engagement
by word of mouth conversions,
Other top YT videos: Read key comments of struggles and capture in their exact words. Especially ones with
Quora, Reddit forums, Facebook groups etc
Capture and listen to popular problem/solution videos on YouTube (I do this on nice long dog walks! - again read the comments
You’re aiming ideally to capture the exact words people used.
Your Problem list will now become the most valuable research and ALL you need to get flying with YouTube and X Content in part 2, and form products in part 3.
Look at this comment for example on the topic ‘The Costs of Social Media’
It’s a random example - but from This - we can start to research and turn problems into valuable solutions/content:
YouTube Video Idea: How to Finally ESCAPE Social Media Addiction and deal with loneliness & depression/anxiety
Product Idea: “Social Media Recovery - Get 20+ Hours a Week Back” - 4 week course and accountability group & community.
Spend a few hours on this or so initially, and then come back to it every week and add more and more problems and your research. It will make more and more sense every time.
Refine and find the intersection of the problems you find INTERESTING and MEANINGFUL, especially any you’ve solved, lived and breathed.
Summary - You now have:
Your basic brand: 3 meaningful interests that connect + your character/stories + lived and breathed experiences
A list of problems in your 3 areas
Research of real world problems and what words people are using
Top title, thumbs and related video ideas
You're ready to start making content in your 3 brand interests using:
Content about problems
Content about lived and breathed experiences to solve challenges/problems
If you don't have any experiences, it's time to dive out of comfort and record the journey

Borrowing traffic and authority
